In celebration of the fifth anniversary of French Immersion Studies, the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute of the University of Ottawa is organizing an international forum featuring scholars from North America and Europe on February 9 and 10, 2012, entitled "Immersion at the university level: models, challenges and prospects".
The forum will take several forms, including plenaries, papers, and round tables to address the entire spectrum of post-secondary immersion: different languages, different academic levels, different stakeholders. There will be four sessions:
- Models for immersion
- Stakeholders in the French Immersion Studies at the University of Ottawa
- Issues and research in immersion
- Prospects
